“Tougaloo, Eagle Queen, we love thee…”

The Washington Area Tougaloo Alumni Chapter attracts alumni, attendees, and “friends” of Tougaloo College who have a vested interest and dedication to the mission and values of the College, from across the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, and all areas associated with the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Further, the chapter is committed to growing, engaging, and fostering community among its members as well as creating a space for Tougaloo Pride and traditions throughout the DMV.

Join the Washington Area Tougaloo Alumni Chapter as we celebrate the reboot of Mississippi on the Potomac. After a four-year hiatus, we are back like never before, ready to celebrate Mississippi on the Potomac to raise SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS for deserving Tougaloo College students. Consider becoming a sponsor or purchasing an advertisement to be included in the digital souvenir journal that will accompany this year’s event.

CELEBRATE MISSISSIPPI ON THE POTOMAC LIVE 2024

We need you to fulfill our purpose as a chapter. As a membership-based organization that relies on our members to serve in leadership roles, actively engage in committee assignments, and have a critical voice in the decisions and governance of our organization. We can do a great deal of work when we are committed to partnership because membership matters!

The chapter takes great pride in supporting Tougaloo College students with scholarships to help offset the cost of their education expenses. These scholarships support the payment of tuition and fees and other education experiences. The scholarship application becomes available during the spring of each year. All newly admitted and current students at Tougaloo College are encouraged to apply.
